Heather Angel is a Senior Consultant with the Phelps Group in our Executive Search and Leadership Development practices. Heather is a talent management consultant, executive coach and leadership development facilitator who advises clients in both the private and public sectors with a special focus on Health sector (including the Pharmaceutical industry), Professional Services sector, and Not-For-Profit sector.
With over 25 years of experience acquiring and growing leadership capability, developing talent management strategies, leading organizational change initiatives and enhancing employee engagement, Heather consults with senior leaders as they navigate complex challenges and new directions in an ever evolving marketplace.
Previously Heather held executive leadership positions in human resources with Golder & Associates, an environmental engineering consulting firm; the Canadian Diabetes Association, one of the largest health care charities in Canada, Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc., a generic drug manufacturer and Monsanto Canada, a life sciences company.
Heather also served for six years on the Board of Governors of Sheridan College where she held multiple leadership positions. She is currently a member of the board of directors of Oakville Hydro and a member of their Human Resources Committee. Heather is a certified corporate Director through the Institute of Corporate Directors.
Heather has a master’s degree in Adult Education from the University of Toronto, a Professional Coaching certificate from the Adler School of Professional Studies in Toronto, a Certificate in Advanced Human Resources Management from the Rotman School of Management, an Ontario Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from the University of Waterloo and is a certified Thomas International PPA Analyst.
